Our Community

The Mascoma Valley Regional School District is comprised of five towns in Grafton County New Hampshire. Along with a rich heritage, the residents in Canaan, Dorchester, Enfield, Grafton, and Orange have diverse experiences, expressions and talents and welcome growth that builds our communities.

Our students receive a high quality education taught by experienced educators amid the splendor of the Northern New England landscape. We are fortunate to have thousands of acres of conserved land and miles of shore land waiting to be explored and enjoy any number of outdoor, all-season, recreational opportunities.

Our towns also have a vibrant arts community, including a professional theater, summer musical camps and several museums. This provides the opportunity to reap the benefits of nearby educational and cultural experiences while still retaining our rural character.

The name Mascoma comes from a lake in Enfield which bears the name of the chief of the Squakheag Indians who traveled the renowned fishing waters of the Connecticut and its tributaries, including also the Mascoma River, which said to be “almost solid with fish.”
Mascoma Schools are proud to belong to a community where we support and celebrate one another.  Click to connect with our friends and neighbors.
